- The CTE Future Directions E-Forum is available for viewing. The Moodle includes an archived copy of the E-Forum (approximately 2 hours), critical documents including the CTE Discussion Framework, a message from Commissioner Steiner, and public comments and feedback that you can view. - CTE Future Directions Initiative Discussion Framework. Find details on proposed key action steps for continued improvement of CTE delivery in New York State.
- Fee Waivers for Advanced Placement and the International Baccalaureate For both the College Board Advanced Placement and the International Baccalaureate, a fee waiver for each examination has been established for this year. This waiver is available for students taking examinations in May 2010.
- The catalog for the 2010 New York State Summer School of the Arts (NYSSSA) has been finalized and is available at the NYSSSA web page. Regional auditions for the music programs will begin in early January. For details and an audition schedule, go to:

NYSSSA offers intensive pre-professional summer training programs that are exciting, challenging and fun. Students will have the opportunity to work with internationally acclaimed artists and artistic companies and gain world-class training, education and inspiration. -
Literacy Zones are a relatively new statewide initiative endorsed by the Board of Regents and overseen by the Adult Education and Workforce Development Team in the Office of Curriculum and Instructional Support (OCIS). The 18 centers provide literacy and educational services to individuals and their families, while providing access to various pathways out of poverty.
