Public Forum on New York State Learning Standard for Mathematics (2005) and Grades 3-8 Testing Program

The Education Department will offer a two hour update* on the status of the Board of Regents newly adopted Learning Standard for Mathematics: Standard 3. This session is open to the public with no pre-registration necessary. The session will provide:

• an overview the newly adopted Learning Standard for Mathematics,

• an update on the New York State Testing program Grades 3-8 Mathematics

• an update on the curriculum guidance materials under development to support schools during the transition phase, and

• a tour of web resources available for additional information as it becomes available.
